Floral Arrangements

If your flowers are in Oasis, a green sponge like material, you can simply add water to the container and the Oasis will soak it up. Filling the container until the Oasis is sitting in water every day or so will keep help keep your flower arrangement fresh for as long as possible.

If your flowers are vased, you can extend their life by removing them from the vase, cutting the base of the stems, and replacing them in the vase with fresh water.

For rose care, follow these instructions. Using a knife, cut the rose under running water on a slant. Then place the roses back in fresh water and add floral preservative if you have any. If the head of the rose droops, re-cut the stem, and place it flat in the sink and cover it with water. Leave it there until the rose stiffens, then place it back in the vase.
